With very favorable feedback on our Beta release of the XR650L battery box, only minor improvements were incorporated for the first production run. The first of which, was the ability to install this battery box while running up to 150mm tires, which originally was not possible. The new production battery box is available in two different models with the wide tire version having a different rear mounting flange for up to 150
mm tire. Below is the new rear flange design, where previously it was incorporated directly into the rear panel of the box and was not configurable, now it is a separate add-on piece.

In addition to accommodating 150mm tires, the box now has completely closed end rivets for ultimate ingress protection, and the rear mounting tab is substantially beefed up.
